Special guests including The Rt. Hon. Michael Howard QC MP, Folkestone Town Mayor Councillor Janet Andrews and other local leaders and representatives from the Armed Forces will be attending the special service.

The Salvation Army hopes to give the sacrificial commitment of servicemen and women, past and present, deserved recognition.

The theme, Beauty from Ashes, is a quote from Isaiah chapter 61 in the Bible, helping us remember that even in the horrors of conflict, there is goodness to be found in the humanity of those defending national and global peace.

All are warmly invited to attend, and encouraged to wear family medals as a tribute. A collection will be taken for the Army Benevolent Fund.
