Motorist seriously ill after road rage shooting in Alkham Valley Road

An argument between two motorists in Alkham Valley Road has resulted in a 31-year-old man being shot in the stomach.

The incident occurred shortly after 10.00pm last night (26 October).

The injured man, from Folkestone, was taken to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford where he is said to be in a stable condition.

Police closed the road until 1.00pm today (27 October) while officers carried out investigations.

South Kent Police would like to speak to anyone who has information of incident to ring 01303 289180.

The police should be allowed to make stop searches on anyone and everyone. They have local knowledge and are well aware of the scum behind most crimes in their own areas. If they could get on with their work instead of paper shuffling, we would all be safer and see a lot more policemen out and about.
