Outcries to end all shipping would be unjustified

Have your say!

Dear Editor,
Re: English Channel shipping pollution puts lives in danger
As a former mariner myself, I would like to comment ahead of possible outcries for the ending of all shipping.

I take this step in view of the severe over reacting that occurred following the "dead sheep" of Lydd.

The simple fact is that ships carry at least 95% of the world's trade and in terms of pollution per tonne of trade, represent very eco-friendly value.
