Out & About

By Steve Walker
Why not join us to make the short walk from the Village Hall to Hawkinge’s newest wildlife site, Frank and Betty’s meadow, to search for moths.

There we shall discover how you can look for moths in your own back garden, there are a variety of ways, one method involves using ropes.

We shall be looking for these fascinating little creatures with interesting stories about their lives: why do they flitter around your lamps? What is the difference between a moth and a butterfly?

Come along to our family event and find out more about marvellous moths.

Mothing

We will be meeting outside Hawkinge Village Hall near Folkestone at 6.30pm on Saturday 24th October. Bring a torch and stout shoes. Please park along Canterbury Road and not in the Village Hall car park.

For more information please ring 07899 758748
