Former Hawkinge Primary School teacher, Philip Copland's book about the Battle of Britain has been published in America.

The book, 'Keep Far Our Foes' tracks the story of the Battle from 1940 when the Germans, who had conquered France were looking across the Channel to extend their conquests.

Winston Churchill was now in charge of the country and the Royal Air Force, under Air Chief Marshall Sir Hugh Dowding had other ideas.

Under Air Vice Marshall Keith Park, Fighter Command 11 Group, the RAF fought out The Battle of Britain against the Luftwaffe.

The book is currently only available in the US but Amazon will be selling it as soon as it is available in the UK.
