Cyclist dies in accident with lorry at port

A cyclist has died after he was struck by a foreign-registered lorry leaving the Port of Dover yesterday evening (26 January).

The 58-year-old man who lived locally and worked at the port was taken to hospital but died from his injuries a short time later, Police said.

Any witnesses to the incident which happened at about 6.30pm are asked to contact the Kent Police Serious Crash Investigation Unit on 01622 798538.
