There is still time for Hawkinge villagers to come up with suggestions for a logo for the parish council.

If you have flare when it comes to art and design, or maybe you're no artist, but have an imaginative mind, Hawkinge Parish Council could be looking for someone just like you who would be able to design a new logo to be used on council documents and letterheads.

Councillors have said they would like the design to be simple, bearing in mind it could be reproduced at a size of less than 1 inch (2.5cm) square.

It should have just one basic colour and would represent Hawkinge past, present and future or any combination of the three.

The logo will be chosen at the March 2009 meeting of Hawkinge Parish Council.
