Two people aboard a cruise liner from Dover which was hit by 50ft waves in the Bay of Biscay have been taken to hospital with broken bones.

The Balmoral in calmer waters

They were on board the Fred Olsen cruise liner, Balmoral, which docked in La Coruna in Spain after setting sail from Dover on Saturday (17 January).

The ship will be returning to Dover on 27 January.
