Bookish delights and 50 people who Buggered-Up Britain

The 8th Annual Folkestone Literary Festival rolls into town at the beginning of November with 9 days of  bookish delights.

Personalities appearing include David Starkey, Maureen Lipman, Denis Norden and Will Self.

The Folkestone Fest kicks off on November 1 and runs until November 9 and features a wide range of topics including sport, cookery, history, travel, politics and nature.

Authors including Joanna Trollope, Ffion Hague, Mary Berry, Kate Adie and Susie Dent are all due to be there.

Big Issue founder John Bird be talking about his book, Change Your Life: 10 Steps to Get What you Want, Stephen Robinson will be discussing The Remarkable Lives of Bill Deedes and Quentin Letts, political sketch writer for the Daily Mail will be talking about his book, 50 People Who Buggered-Up Britain.

Events will take place at venues around the town including Folkestone Academy, University Centre Folkestone, the Leas Club and the Leas Cliff Hall. For more information see www.folkestonelitfest.co.uk.
