Boy dies in rope-swing tragedy

A fourteen-year-old boy has died following an accident in a play area on the Buckland estate in Dover.

Police and the ambulance service were called at around 7.30pm yesterday (25 September) to where a group of teenage youngsters had been playing on a hand-made rope swing.

He was taken to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford, where he later died.

The boy's identity has not yet been released.

Police are not treating his death as suspicious.
