Kent Police in Hawkinge are investigating the attempted theft of a goal post from Churchill Primary School on Monday (8 September) between 8.50 pm and 9.10 pm.

CCTV images show two hooded youths taking a large goalpost belonging to the Hawkinge Youth Football Club.

A passer-by saw the two youths with the goal post and questioned them about it but they ran off. The boys did not manage to take the goal post due to the intervention by this vigilant passer-by.

The boys are described as white, aged 14 to 18, of slim build. One was wearing a dark hooded top, the other was wearing a lighter hooded top.
