An event to encourage and support responsible dog ownership is taking place next weekend.

The day which is being organized by Dover District Council in partnership with Frandham Boarding Kennels, is taking place on Walmer Green, Walmer by the bandstand on Saturday 20 September from 10am until 4pm. and follows the success of a similar event in Pencester Gardens in Dover this summer.

There will be a range of information available on responsible dog ownership, pet care and accessories.

Environmental Health staff and Dog Wardens will be on hand to give advice on subjects including noise awareness, dog barking, and the importance of clearing up after your dog, and will be giving out free bags to help pick up after your pet.

Staff from the kennels will be available to micro-chip dogs at a discounted rate of £14.00.
