Re: Parish council puts record straight over football ground 

I have no involvement with the running of the football club.

I am just an observer who is fed up with the misinformation campaign being waged by this parish council against a group of hard working people giving up extensive amounts of time for the benefit of the youth of Hawkinge.

Before publishing this statement did you contact Hawkinge Youth Football Club to see what their response would be or give them a chance to reply?

The article was an official bulletin published by Hawkinge Parish Council.

If the Gazette had written a story about the bulletin, we would have asked the Hawkinge Youth Football Club if they would like to make a response which could be included in the story.

However, in this case, the Football Club can do what any other reader can do, and write to me. The response could be published provided it satisfies the criteria set out in our Gazette Site Policy on the Privacy Policy page
