Double yellow lines painted on a Folkestone Road have mysteriously taken  on a look of their own.

The lines next to the Garden of Remembrance

Councillor Gary Fuller has expressed astonishment at the yellow lines in Christchurch Road, Central Folkestone, which appear to have melted.

The lines, which prevent parking next to Folkestone's Garden of Remembrance, look to have melted where a part of the road dips.

Commenting, Harvey Central Lib Dem Councillor Fuller, said: "I was both astonished and baffled when I saw these lines - it's not exactly been a blistering summer.

"I'm at a loss to explain how this has occurred."

Gary has reported the melted lines to Kent Highways and hopes they will be "straightened out" soon.
