Council says red phone boxes should stay

Dover District Council has responded to a BT consultation over the removal of public phone boxes and objected to the removal of 18 telephone boxes across the district.

This includes the removal of nine red phone boxes on grounds including heritage and service to the community.

BT is proposing to remove a total of 21 phone boxes in the district.
