Man left housebound after Motability scooter is stolen - Update

A Motability scooter worth around £4,000 has been stolen from a front garden of a house in Folkestone.

The scooter owner, a 34-year-old man from the town was visiting his parents' home in Wood Avenue when the theft took place, some time between 4.30 pm and 5.45 pm on Saturday (9 August).

The stolen scooter is a black and silver 'Pride SXL 2' model.

Anyone with information, or anyone who saw anything suspicious is asked to contact Kent Police on 01303 850055. Alternatively if you have information about this, or any crime, call Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Your anonymity is guaranteed.

UPDATE

Police have confirmed that the Motability scooter has now been found in Downs Road, Folkestone and they are arranging for it to be returned to its owner.
