A growing success for green-fingered tenants was celebrated with a special presentation in Dover.

All tenants were invited to take part in the best-kept tenants’ gardens competition and entries were received from across the district.

A panel of judges visited all entries and winners were selected in four categories. Prizes were awarded at a special presentation at the Council offices last week. Winners were presented with certificates and gift vouchers, and a water butt donated by Folkestone and Dover Water Services.

Cllr Mrs Sue Nicholas said: “It was wonderful to see so many people across the area taking such a pride in their gardens and contributing to their communities in such a colourful way.”
