Police investigating a robbery at the Co-op in Cheriton High Street, Folkestone have released CCTV images of two men who may be important witnesses.

Four men armed with kitchen knives entered the back of the shop and forced a female member of staff to empty the safe at 6 am on Friday 18 July.

The woman and her male colleague and a cleaner who arrived during the robbery were then locked in a storeroom.

The offenders stole cash, scratch cards, cigarettes and savings stamps.

The staff were found a short time later by a delivery driver.

A man from Folkestone has been charged with robbery and remanded in custody.

Anyone who knows the men in the images, or anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Sergeant Stuart Walker at Folkestone Police Station 01303 850055.

Alternatively call Kent Crimestoppers 0800 555 111. Your anonymity is guaranteed.
