George Marriott, of Marriott Home Services, Whitfield, Kent, is celebrating after winning a Nintendo Wii games console in the nationwide search for prestigious guttering projects showcasing Marshall-Tufflex products.

To enter the competition, guttering installers needed to send in photographs of their work.

“We are continually impressed with the exceedingly high standard of workmanship shown in the entries we receive,” said a spokesperson for the company.

The company with more than 30 years of experience won the prize for the work on the home of Mr and Mrs Marsh of Nursery Lane, Whitfield, who wanted to match the guttering of their new extension with their conservatory.

Commenting on his Wii games console prize, George said: “I’m having great fun with it, but then so is my 26-year-old son!”
