Police are appealing for help from the public to identify a group of five male youths who assaulted a 70-year-old woman walking her dog in Folkestone.

The woman was walking down Dover Road between the junctions of Charlotte Street and Harvey Street between 11.00am and 11.25am on Thursday (3 July).

As she was picking up her dog's mess she was kicked on the back of her thigh by one of the youths. Another youth then tried to kick her dog but the woman stood in the way and she was kicked again in the leg.

The youths then walked off shouting abuse about 'old people'.

The youths are described as being in their late teens:

Two white males, one of whom was taller than 6ft, thin, wearing a red T shirt;
two black males both wearing dark jeans, dark t-shirts and white baseball caps worn backwards. One of the t-shirts had the words 'F*** Off' on the back; and one male of mixed race.
