Kent International Airport at Manston has announced a special promotion for people planning to fly to Palma, Majorca.

The deal reported by Cheapflights website says holidaymakers can now jet off to the Spanish island for just £99 on every Friday in August when they travel with Kent Escapess and the company say that price includes all taxes, fees and surcharges.

All bookings are subject to availability, and stays must last a duration of either 7 or 14 nights.

Commenting on the promotional deal, Kent Escapes managing director Richard Burke said: "We are delighted to offer the people of Kent these low cost flight only seats to Palma at the height of summer."

He added that demand is expected to be "very strong" for the charter flights, which are operated by Spanish low-cost carrier LTE.

Majorca is Spain's largest island and its economy is largely dependent on tourism. In 2006, the popular sunspot was visited by more than 9.5 million people - mostly British and German holidaymakers..
