Three rescued in kitchen blaze

Three people were rescued from a kitchen blaze at a property in Cheriton this morning (28 July).

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus led the occupants to safety from the house in Postling Road.

The trio were treated for smoke inhalation by paramedics and taken to hospital but not detained.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service said that firefighters took about 20 minutes to extinguish the fire which started at around 6.20am.
