Neighbourhood Watch have reported the following .

Co-op store robbery - Cheriton

Police are appealing for information and witnesses following a robbery at the Co-op in Cheriton High Street, Folkestone.


At 6.00am on Friday morning (18 July) four men wearing stocking masks armed with kitchen knives entered the back of the shop and forced a female member of staff to empty the safe.

The woman and her male colleague and a cleaner who arrived during the robbery were then locked in a store room.

The offenders stole cash, scratch cards, cigarettes and savings stamps.

The staff were found a short time later by a delivery driver.

The offenders who all wore dark clothing and stocking masks are described as follows:

A White man aged in his late 20s or early 30s of slim build, 5ft 7in - 5ft 10in tall, with short brown hair, and was wearing a dark zip up jacket.

A Black man aged in his late 20s or early 30s of medium build, 5ft 6in - 5ft 9in tall, short dark cropped hair, and was wearing a black track suit jacket.

A White man aged early to mid 30s of chubby build, 5ft 6in - 5ft 9in tall, with dark short thinning or receding hair, he was wearing a dark blue hooded jacket. This offender had a Liverpool accent.

A White man, aged in late 20s or early 30s of slim build, 5ft 7in - 5ft 10in tall, he was wearing a dark jacket.

Police have made a number of arrests in connection with this robbery but would like to hear from anyone who saw a vehicle or four men acting suspiciously in the area of the Co-op, 66 Cheriton High Street, Stanley Road or Baker Road in Cheriton on the morning of Friday 18 July 2008, or suspicious activity in the early hours in the weeks leading up to the robbery in that specific locality as the robbery appears to have been planned in advance.

Stolen property - Stelling Minnis

An electric mobile pressure washer/steam cleaner was stolen from a property in Split Lane, Stelling Minnis overnight 9th/10th July.
