High flying Shepway company, Holiday Extras is to build a 15,000 square foot extension to its headquarters, following what it claims has been a period of rapid business expansion.

The airport facilities provider has received planning permission for the proposed extension which will increase the capacity of its base in Hythe  by up to 200 additional members of staff.

This follows a peak in recruitment which saw Holiday Extras take on more than 40 employees this year, increasing staff numbers at its headquarters to more than 360.

Non-executive chairman and company founder, Gerry Pack, said: “Our plan is to continue to grow all areas of our business and develop more new products. This planning permission provides us with the opportunity to expand on our existing site, the most efficient way of meeting the required demand for space.”
