Neighbourhood Watch are warning of the following incidents.

Carpet sellers are calling in the area and are offering to drive you to the bank if you haven't any money. Of course the carpet they leave you is neither of the size or the quality quoted or seen.

In Eastry a young female teenager has been door knocking saying that she is collecting for a charity. The particular charity she is quoting does not operate door to door for donations.

Sandwich has seen the fish sellers. If you remember we have had visits from them before. The last time we were made aware, they were in Saltwood where they were quoting a high price for a certain weight of fish and insisting that they put the fish in the freezer only to find that the weight of the fish was nowhere near the amount quoted.

Finally please be wary of the so called clothing charities. Remember they are not collecting for Third World countries but for their own monetary gain.

If you should be bothered by any of these callers please make sure you do not open the door unless the chain is in place and remember the advice from Trading Standards not to buy on the doorstep.
