Your chance to be really creative

If you have ever wanted to try something creative, then maybe this is your opportunity, but be quick because places for this free super card making demonstration are strictly limited.

Pam Smith, who is holding the event in July at her Dover home explained that she teaches at workshops throughout Kent and wants to bring this hobby to a wider audience.

She said: "There is no charge and it is just a chance for local people to have a look at the sort of cards they could create.

"I'm planning to run 3 sessions lasting about 2 hours from 09.30am-11.30am, 1.30pm-3.30pm and 7.00pm-9.00pm on 25 July. I think that allows for anyone with work or childcare commitments to attend. I know that some elderly people don't like to go out in the evening so I'm trying to cover all bases.

"I will be showing basic card making techniques and will include rubber stamping and water colouring. There will be an opportunity for a "make and take" so that people can try out some of the techniques.

"As I'm holding the event in my house spaces will be limited to 10 at each session and so if anyone would like to attend could they phone or e-mail me to book a place and for directions.

"I have been card making for 7 years and give talks and run workshops for local WIs and other groups. I also teach children's workshops for ages 8 and upwards.

"In November I will be teaching on the Fred Olsen ship "Balmoral" and running 6 workshops on board.

"If anyone would like to attend but cannot make the 25th they are welcome to call me and we could perhaps arrange another date or if they would like me to visit a local group I would be more than happy."

Pam's telephone number is 01304 332277 or click to e-mail for further information
