Can something be done to keep the footpaths on estates in Hawkinge free of cars?

There is a perfectly good road or driveway on which to park, yet many leave their vehicles blocking the pavements.

People walking, especially with children in prams or buggies are forced to walk on the road.

In my view this is totally unacceptable and dangerous. Cars are already a danger to pedestrians when driven on the highway, so why force walkers onto the road?

Maybe in view of recent criticism of PCSOs this could be something which they could deal with and make both a 'fear of crime' and a 'fear of cars' a thing of the past.
