Dawn raids involving 200 police officers in Dover targeting the importation, supply and distribution of cocaine have led to the arrest of twenty people.

During the two-day operation which was part of a series of raids carried out across the county by officers from Kent Police’s Serious and Organised Crime Unit and Tactical Support Group, drugs, cash and vehicles were seized.

Police have charged eight people with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs, seven others have been charged with supplying Class A drugs and the remainder have been bailed pending the ongoing investigation.

The raids were in early April, but police only released details of the operation on Tuesday.
