The cost of temporary parking waivers used by drivers who need to park their cars and vans on double yellow lines or in other restricted areas has been increased.

The waivers are used by building companies and other businesses which need to have access to their vehicles for tools and building materials while they are working.

The previous cost of a waiver was £10 for a week or any part of a week. From 1 April this cost went up to £15. A new one-day only waiver however can be bought for £5.

Waivers can be bought from the Civic Centre in Castle Hill Avenue, Folkestone. Drivers will need to provide documents to confirm that they are working in a particular area.
