A man who forced back a parking attendant’s hand after she gave him a parking ticket has been cautioned by police.

“Although the parking attendant was not seriously hurt she was caused considerable pain when he forced her hand back. We reported this incident to the police who traced the man responsible and cautioned him this week,” said Cllr Rory Love, Cabinet Member for the Environment.

“We will not tolerate any abuse of our parking attendants who have what is a vital, but often thankless, task preventing selfish, obstructive or dangerous parking.”
