Hawkinge Parish council has called a special meeting of all members for tomorrow (4 March) to discuss the village football project.

We have unfortunately not been sent any details of this hurriedly convened meeting of which Chairman Cllr David Callahan said that details had been posted outside the village hall.

Cllr Callahan told the Gazette that as the debate would be more involved than could be accommodated at the monthly parish council meeting it was decided to hold it separately.

The meeting which is open to the public starts at 7.30pm in the village hall although the Chairman stated there would be no opportunity for members of the public to speak.
