'At long last' Community Centre Trustees to hold meeting

Dear Editor,

I see that at long last the Hawkinge Community Centre Trustees have decided to hold a formal meeting of its membership on Sunday 16th March at 7pm.

Not before time in my view, bearing in mind the way they have conducted business up until now.

I only hope all those who are entitled to attend do so, (and according to the present constitution that is everybody that lives in Hawkinge), to express their views and hopes for the future.

Do I have to be a member ? or is living in the village enough ?

Editor's reply - Yes, under the original constitution all villagers were deemed to be members.
