Re: Garden recycling fiasco   

Once again we the taxpayers of Shepway are having to pay the price because of the incompetence of this council.

The money wasted on the purchase of ridiculously over-priced refuse lorries was just the beginning.

I know of people that have been on a waiting list of over a year to get a 'green' bin and it is now quite obvious why they have been waiting all this time.

The introduction of this charge will not only increase more unwanted fly-tipping but some people may try and burn their garden waste and this could lead to neighbour disputes, police being called etc etc.

Perhaps Billy Smarts could come in and run our local amenities, I doubt we would notice the difference except Billy Smarts would at least make you laugh unlike SDC who are just laughable.
