HGV blocks Elvington Lane - Pictures

Another HGV has closed Elvington Lane in Hawkinge.

 

The HGV is dragged from the narrow lane

 

A local resident told the Gazette that the vehicle, which was believed to have been delivering to a local supermarket became stuck in the narrow lane at 2.00am yesterday morning (27 February).

 

The lorry was fitted with a satellite navigation system.

 

Recovery trucks managed to free the vehicle later in the day.

 

People living on the lane were not surprised: "It happens every year." a resident said.
