Dear Editor,

Re: Local police warn of beggars and pedlars in the area


Are their pictures any good, I wouldn't mind seeing them. Folkestone is trying to attract artists to help with it's revival.

And have they been checked by a doctor to see if the have cancer?

Is it not a crime to not care for the sick?

Extract from article in the Mirror

"In nearby Covent Garden, a Polish girl empties her pockets saying: "I'd give you more if I had any. But why do you sit? Don't you have a job?"

She's the only person all day who asks what brings me on to the streets... apart from the authorities.

A fellow beggar tells me: "They treat us like criminals. They'll force you to move and don't care where you go. But a lot of us on the streets have nowhere else to go."
