Dear Editor,

I am a long-time retired seafarer, who has been unable to find any information which is able to confirm the result of the Kent Police investigation into the deaths of two crew members on the vessel ' Sava Lake'.

I have searched the websites of Kent Police, the Maritime and Coastguard Agency, Marine Accident Investigation Branch, press, TV and text news, all of which showed interested at the time the vessel docked in Dover

This was on the 18th January 2008 and now we are on the 13th February, but still the silence is deafening.

All I would like to know is what was the cause of death.

a:- Were the men overcome by chemical fumes as was suggested at the time?

b:- Were they working in an enclosed unventilated (therefore in an oxygen depleted atmosphere) space?

c:- Was there some other cause?

I would appreciate any information about the incident
