Folkestone Camera Club meeting - 1 December 2008

Since September, the start of the new season, our meetings have been well attended, and with several new members joining us, has boosted our membership to over 100! We believe we are now the largest club in Kent.

Recently author and photographer Ken Scott, a highly regarded speaker, presented “TOUCHING THE LIGHT”.

Ken is driven not so much by place, as by light and atmosphere, and he enthralled us all with his photographs.

Last week, our booked lecturer was unable to attend, but our committee came up trumps and produced a good evening at very short notice, with an ‘in-house’ showing, which still proved to be enjoyed by all.

Monday 8th December will be our 3rd Digital Image competition, followed by our Christmas Social on 15th, which will include an informal competition of a photograph depicting the ‘Spirit of Christmas’.

The next meeting will be on 5th January after the Christmas break, which will be our 3rd Print competition of the season. In between this will be our monthly audio visual and practical evenings.

Meetings are held at the St. Georges Church, Audley Road,. Folkestone (opposite West Station), every Monday commencing at 7.45pm
