Man killed after car crashes into tree

A man has died after the car he was driving crashed into a tree on the Alkham Valley Road between Dover and Folkestone last night (4 December).

Police have named the man as Shane Clubb, 41, of Ewell Minnis.

The accident, which involved just one car,  happened around 3.20am at Bushy Ruff, near Dover.

Mr Clubb was taken to the William Harvey Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police have said no one else was injured and no other vehicles are thought to have been involved.

Witnesses are asked to contact Kent Police on 01622 798538.
