Have your say!

Dear Editor,

Power cut this morning.... power restored but at 207 volts (ish) not the full monty of 240, according to EDF.

Hence a dim Hawkinge, both inside and out.

Where's me candle ?

Finkle

Hawkinge power cuts/power surges

It appears that EDF have silently corrected recent interuptions in the local power supply, without correcting the concerns of its bill payers..

We have personally had a very minimal response to our request for information about these recent outages, and continually been referred to-(fobbed off to-) EDF complaints poilicy when trying to get some support for affected electrical equipment in the house. It seem's that EDF's corporate attitude to ignore single customer complaints will allow them enough time for us all to collectively forget about the individual problems that these power supply problems cause everybody that relies on it.

I would be very interested to know of any similar Hawkinge/ Heron Forstal customers that have been treated this way or feel the same?

Although everything now appears to be working fine, I did find that my gas boiler would not switch on and I nearly ate a half cooked ready meal before I realised the microwave was operating at less than half power. Luckily I did manage to spit out a piece of almost raw chicken.
