Past and present local carnival queens are experiencing a different kind of  glamour as they perform in a Christmas panto.

Current Miss Folkestone, Natalie Archibald, former Miss Folkestone and former Miss Cheriton, Karol Steele, and former Cheriton princesses Laura Brickell and Natasha Durham, are currently appearing at the Leas Cliff Hall pantomime, Dick Whittington.

Natalie and Karol are members of the principal chorus, Natasha is a principal dancer, and Laura has one of the starring roles as Fairy Bowbells.

Natalie and Karol have also recently experienced success outside the theatre. Last month Natalie was elected a European Princess in a contest held in Belgium.. Meanwhile Karol, who has also had small roles in the hit movies, The Other Boleyn Girl and Wild Child, was one of 12 actors in the film short Washed Up, which won an award at the Berlin Film Festival.
