Police investigating an armed robbery at a jeweller's shop in Folkestone last month are releasing further information in the hope new witnesses will come forward.

Two men entered Simmons Jewellers in Sandgate Road, Folkestone at 1.55 pm on Thursday 6 Nov and told staff to get on the floor.

One of the men had a pink baseball bat and threatened staff while the other man climbed into a display window and removed £38,000 worth of jewellery.

The men then ran out of the shop, turned right and then right into Cheriton Place and then left into the area of Town Walk. Both men then continued behind Sainsbury's into Manor Road where a white car was waiting to take them away.

The car then turned left out of Manor Road on to Bouverie Road West and continued towards the Castle Hill Ave roundabout.

It is believed the vehicle went from here along Castle Hill Ave, straight over the roundabout towards Cheriton Road, straight over the next roundabout into Radnor Park Road then along Pavilion Road, left on to Blackball Road then right on to Linden Crescent where it was witnessed being abruptly abandoned on Marshall Street.

Three young men then got out, all aged in their 20s, slim to medium build with dark short hair and ran off towards the top end of Marshall Street.

The car used by the offenders was an old white 3-door box style car with black bumpers black door handles and a 1 foot sized dent in the passenger side rear quarter panel.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Det Constable Dan Cutter on 01303 850055.

Alternatively if you have information but wish to remain anonymous call Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
