FOLKESTONE CAMERA CLUB MEETING - 8 December 2008

At our last meeting, we held our 3rd Digital Image competition of the season, which was judged by Mrs Deborah Armour from Ashford Camera Club, she and her husband are long-standing friends of the club.

Deborah is a very experienced photographer and although new to judging did a very good job and we certainly hope she will return. She gave us very constructive comments and hints on how we could improve our photography and her results (out of 20) were:-

On Friday 12th December we will be holding ‘Battle’ with Ashford Camera Club, which is always a great evening – may the best club win! Our Christmas Party (for members only) will be held on 15th.

There will be no meeting on 22nd and 29th December returning on Monday the 5th January for the 3rd Print and Monochrome Digital Image Competitions. This will be followed by HEATHER WILLIS “A HEBRIDEAN JOURNEY” on the 12th January. Landscape and Natural History photographer Heather takes us on a scenic journey that also includes aspects of local culture.

On 19th January members Audio Visual sequences compete for the Nigel Winter Trophy, from the halcyon days when Folkestone camera club hosted the Bi-Annual International Audio Visual Festival.

Meetings are held at the St. Georges Church, Audley Road,. Folkestone (opposite West Station), every Monday commencing at 7.45pm
