Eurotunnel of love

The Channel Tunnel linking Britain to Europe will re-open completely in February 2009, when repair work to the damage from the fire on 11th September is finally completed.

Eurotunnel chief executive Jacques Gounon said he was "totally confident" the tunnel would be fully back in service on February 15.

A romantic mused, "It's a shame it wasn't a day earlier on Valentines day and I'd have booked a trip to Paris for me and the missus."
