Police sealed off Dover Priory railway station following the discovery of a body on the track on Wednesday (5 November).

A police spokesman said they were treating it as suicide.

A British Transport Police spokesman said: "At 22.05 yesterday the driver of the 21.18 Faversham to Dover train reported striking a person on the track at Buckland Junction, Dover Priory.

"The location is near a road bridge at Bunkers Hill. The driver saw the man on the track, sounded his horn, but could not avoid striking him."
