Police have arrested a man on suspicion of murder after a pedestrian was hit by a car in Shepway on Saturday (22 November).

Former Eurotunnel worker Michael Pritchard from Dover died after being knocked down near the end of Prince's Parade in Seabrook where it meets the main Seabrook Road at around 5.00pm.

He was rushed to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford but died of his injuries.

It is understood he was the father of three children.

Police have questioned a 46-year-old man in connection with the incident who has been released on bail until January pending further enquiries.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 01303 289605 or Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
