Drugs with a street value of around £6.3 million have been found inside coffee machine boxes hidden in a Polish vehicle at the Port of Dover.

Officers discovered the haul of amphetamines and cannabis resin hidden in 34 boxes after stopping a Polish-registered lorry at Dover's eastern docks as it was on its way to Northampton.

The driver, Gracjan Marcin Zientara, 32, from Pila in north-western Poland, has been remanded in custody to appear in court next month.
