Be prepared for traffic disruption and delays in the area next month when work begins on replacing a water main.

A road closure is to be put in place to enable Folkestone and Dover Water Services carry out the work.

There are two phases of the works which begin on 24 November 2008 for an estimated 3 months.

This closure will be carried out as described below:

Phase 1

Fernfield Lane - From its junction with The Street to its junction with the KCC waste tip access road.

There will be a diversion via The Street, Canterbury Road and the KCC waste tip access road.

Phase 2

Fernfield Lane - From its junction with the KCC waste tip access road through to Fernfield Farm.

A diversion via Cowgate Lane, Standen Lane, Alkham Valley Road and Lockeringe Lane will be put in place.
