KEY Training Services, part of Kent County Council are holding an Open Day at Folkestone as well as in Gravesend, Gillingham, Canterbury and Margate next week.

KEY are the largest provider in Kent and Medway of work-based learning; this is an opportunity for people in work to train for a qualification, employers to up skill their workforce and for apprenticeships, which are now available for all ages.

Many people in Kent will qualify for free training or substantial subsidies under the Train to Gain, Adult Apprenticeship and Adult Learner Accounts. The government is now providing funding for qualifications including level 2 and level 3 NVQs in many subjects from Childcare and Care - to Retail and Warehousing, plus Business Administration, Customer Service and Catering/Hospitality.

Visitors to the centres will also find out about KEY's highly successful Open Door programme for young people up to 25 years old to gain confidence and motivation to enter employment and the Entry to Employment (E2E) apprenticeship programmes.

The open day on Thursday 31 Jan 2008 runs from 2.30pm until 5.30pm at the Folkestone centre which is located in Grace Hill in the town. Visitors can call in at any time or phone 08007314297 for further information.
