Can council keep delaying Lydd airport planning application?

Dear Editor,

Re: Lydd airport's crunch planning meeting postponed

I've seen a web-site where some people are suggesting that the delay is because they are waiting to find out if Dungeness will be named as a site for one of the new nuclear power stations.

Can a Council keep delaying making a decision on a planning application ad infinitum?

It doesn't seem very fair on people who have spent good money preparing their application and may rely on a decision for the development of their business.
