It will make not a jot of difference who is responsible

Have your say!

Dear Editor,

Re: Grass cutting responsibility returns to Shepway

It seems to me that it will make not a jot of difference who is responsible for it.

All that ever happens, when something goes wrong or there is a question to answer, those whose "responsibility" it is deftly stroke any trace of it from there shoulders and pass the blame.

I have tried, on may occasions over the last five years, to have something done about the irresponsible way the Japanese knotweed is mown on some of the verges around the village.

For those who don't realise, Japanese Knotweed is a very pernicious weed that is very difficult to kill and as such, when it is cut, the clipping become "hazardous waste" and should be properly treated and disposed of and not have them scattered by the flail cutters that are generally employed on the job.

Grumpily,

Lazarus
